Reseed the Meadow So the Cows Don't Starve
As of September 10th, the mana pools on Ensō and its islets will now allow for travel to the new island of Nuidan.
Travelers will arrive on a mana pool situated on the E5 square. The temple is situated in an oasis-like backdrop of amber-colored sands circled with overhanging palm trees. From the island's center, the four corners of the island and its fixed seasonal shifts are more than obvious: to the north, the rainfall-soaked meadows of spring; to the east, the thick clusters of the trees of autumn; to the south, the snow-capped mountains of winter; and to the west, the warm summer sands and pleasant heat.
And inside the temple? The avatar of the island Nuidan is waiting.
Welcome to the new island of Nuidan! As the island is now accessible, feel free to begin preparations and explorations in this log, create new logs of your own, or use this post as a catch-all for Task completion! Don't damage anything, would you? It would be quite counterintuitive if one were to, say, need to spend more time recuperating than working!
no subject
Indeed, no. I will work at a comfortable pace for myself.
[ Soon enough he's able to catch his breath and he speeds up again slightly. ]
Are you involved in people being brought here, I wonder?
no subject
I am Harvest, not travel. If I could control a thing like that, why would I have been waiting all on my own here for who can say how long, hm?
no subject
[ Everything seems supernatural in the extreme here. Why are Washington and Carolina so sure they never died?
He stops before a plot that appears to need weeding. ]
Work here?

[And as if in good faith, the dog begins to dig into the soil with their paws, unafraid to get their proverbial hands dirty. There are all sorts of weeds and rocks they can help kick up with their sturdy little canid paws, after all.]
So I've gathered. You new sorts ask all sorts of difficult questions.
no subject
I'm merely trying to understand this place, and why I've been selected to be here. Is that...the sort of thing you can answer?
no subject
"Selected," though. Curious word. Curious way to put it.

[ He's not happy to hear that response, however; he droops a bit, disappointed. He works slightly slower, and he frowns. His words had been slightly impatient, nearly snappish. But he thinks about the response for a moment, slightly abashed at his rudeness. He shouldn't snap at the god of this island, no matter how unhelpful they seem.
But there is one thing he wants to know: ]
You can't because you don't know, or because you aren't to speak of it?
no subject
[They can answer the questions of their own existential nature, it seems, but not his. Isn't that nice?]
no subject
Fine, I understand.
[ The words are snapped in a way where it's clear he really doesn't understand; not as he should, anyway. He wants his answers, and he doesn't want platitudes about the purpose of a harvest god.
In any case, he moves to start a compost pile with the weeds he'd plucked, dropping them where they couldn't just simply re-root, and returns again to the row where he was working. ]
no subject
[They don't give much thought to the apparent attitude here - the important thing is that he's still working, which is all they really care about.]
