Reseed the Meadow So the Cows Don't Starve
As of September 10th, the mana pools on Ensō and its islets will now allow for travel to the new island of Nuidan.

Travelers will arrive on a mana pool situated on the E5 square. The temple is situated in an oasis-like backdrop of amber-colored sands circled with overhanging palm trees. From the island's center, the four corners of the island and its fixed seasonal shifts are more than obvious: to the north, the rainfall-soaked meadows of spring; to the east, the thick clusters of the trees of autumn; to the south, the snow-capped mountains of winter; and to the west, the warm summer sands and pleasant heat.

And inside the temple? The avatar of the island Nuidan is waiting.

[Shion moves even closer to see what Ignis was doing. He smiled as Ignis offered him food, always feeding people. He thought Ignis believed the whole island would starve without him. Shion wasn't sure it wouldn't.] Only if there is enough.

[Ignis says this with no hesitation.]

We're going to have to move to another location to finish anyway. Sharing a little here or there won't change that.

[He takes some with a smile, he was sure it would be delicious. Ignis made it after all.]

Another location? What are you planning?

Harv says there are actual curing huts and larger game in the winter quarter of the island. There are likely some stores there too. It would be foolish not to make use of all that.

[And Ignis is anything but foolish, even if it does mean trekking through the cold.]

We'll spend a day or two here and then head out to see what we can find. Perhaps if we are lucky, someone will stumble into them before we do and can pass the location along.

I'll keep an eye out whilst I am exploring. [Huts made for curing would be very useful. They could cure meat with improvised equipment but it would be better to find the curing huts and larger game. ]

If you need any help, I know how to preserve meat. [A practical skill that Shion actually had and one he is happy to share with others, it's not often he can be truly helpful.]

"You do?" For a moment, Ignis seems surprised and then his surprise shifts into a fond expression. Really, is there anything Shion doesn't know how to do?

"We should definitely talk, then. I only am familiar with one way, and I would prefer not to let that limit us."

Besides, if something goes wrong, it is always better to have foods preserved in more than one way. That way not everything is lost.

Shion blushed. He knew it was rare that he could actually contribute anything and so Ignis' surprise is no shock. But he was glad that in this instance he could help.

"Reno taught me in the tower. Sometimes the food was stopped so we tried to have stores that we could distribute. It turns out the animals weren't actually real but the techniques were so they will work here as well."

"Knowledge is knowledge no matter how it is gained." Though, Ignis is reminded once more how much he wishes that Shion had not had to learn so much in such a harsh environment. Hopefully, putting those skills to work in a less harsh one will help somewhat.

"How many ways do you think we can replicate here?"

Shion nodded. It was true. Knowledge was precious. Much of what he knew, the stuff that was actually useful he had learned in the tower.

"Probably most of them. In some ways we have a lot less here than in the tower but in other ways we have a lot more." And if they asked for equipment to help the likelihood was the Story Teller would do their best rather than twisting the request into something awful.

"All right, then it may be best for me to find you once we have found the huts. You can look over what we have there and then let me know what you think is the best method for what we have," Ignis has no idea what they will find in the huts. Who knows, they may even have to repair them before they can start work.

"Do you have some warm clothing so traveling out there won't be too hard on you?"

Shion nodded, "I'll be happy to come and help." It would be best to find the huts first and figure out what they had to work with.

"I do, I have a coat." He should be fine, he could cope with the cold.

"Excellent. I'll let you know as soon as the huts are found then."

For once, Shion's far ahead of Ignis. No doubt that coat is a lot warmer than his leather jacket and... Well...

It's probably a good thing Ardyn won't need that heavy coat of his. Yeah.

The coat is functionable though as it was created for use in a mostly temperature controlled city... He had coped in West Town though and in the tower, he would cope here too.

"Thank you Ignis." He smiled again, glad for the opportunity to help. "I'll see you again soon."
