Reseed the Meadow So the Cows Don't Starve
As of September 10th, the mana pools on Ensō and its islets will now allow for travel to the new island of Nuidan.

Travelers will arrive on a mana pool situated on the E5 square. The temple is situated in an oasis-like backdrop of amber-colored sands circled with overhanging palm trees. From the island's center, the four corners of the island and its fixed seasonal shifts are more than obvious: to the north, the rainfall-soaked meadows of spring; to the east, the thick clusters of the trees of autumn; to the south, the snow-capped mountains of winter; and to the west, the warm summer sands and pleasant heat.

And inside the temple? The avatar of the island Nuidan is waiting.

Oh...hello there. You must be the guardian of this island, right?

[Lillie bows a little because it seems like the thing to do in the presence of a deity. Even a dog - a breed she doesn't recognize, considering all the ones she knows are pokemon.]

[Their temple is astoundingly well maintained and impressively built. She can't help but gawk at it.]

Do you maintain this all by yourself? It's very impressive!

[What seems to be a compliment flies right on over their head, largely because they're simply too distracted for it.]

Oh, it's all a mess. Everything has been left to the wayside for far too long. I've been a one-god, one-dog workforce and that's simply not tenable in the long-term. You're here to help, yes? Aren't you? Oh, aren't you?

O-Oh, um...I can try and help, sure!

[She's, uh. Not sure what needs to be done, so maybe agreeing right away isn't the smartest idea, but it's probably a terrible idea to upset a deity upon first meeting them. Besides, she doesn't have anything else to be doing. Maybe Guzma will want to help, too.]

[But she had come over with a few questions in mind. Just little bits of curiosity. Now that she's met them, she's not sure Harv will have any answers, or any interest in answering, but it's worth a shot.]

I'm not very strong, but I do know a good bit about plants, if you have any gardens that need tending...But would it be okay if I asked you some questions first?

Can you work and ask? You can do both. I just can't waste any time, you see? Work and talk! Those two tasks are easily done simultaneously. Yes, I think so. You can work with plants? You are good with plants? The orchard has been aching for a good harvest, and the wheat fields...well, they're a mess too, no doubt.

What about rice? Can you do rice?

Well...I've never tried to harvest rice, but if someone showed me, I could probably do it...But those other things sound simple enough on their own.

[She's read a lot about different types of plants and how to care for them - rice is something she has very vague passing knowledge of. Mostly she knows how to grow vegetables, some fruits, and all sorts of herbs, spices, and medicinal berries. It's book knowledge, mostly. But Lillie isn't opposed to learning more, and learns quickly when shown how to do something firsthand.]

Um, I wanted to know, though - it seems like there were people here once...what happened to them? This place seems like an ideal place to stay...

How should I know? They certainly weren't around doing any work, I can tell you that!

[You're not liable to get many of the answers you're looking for from this deity, it seems. They're moving very quickly now, trotting back along to their temple.]

Can you hurry it along? We've got so much to do.

I...see...

[When Harv begins rushing off, Lillie holds up a finger as if she's about to say something, but shakes her head when she thinks better of it. She can recognize when someone isn't really listening. Perhaps if she does some work, they'll be more open to answering questions?]

Thank you for your time! [She calls after the shrinking figure.] I'll see what I can do to help!

[Oh, are they not being followed? The dog turns a small distressed circle before finally locating her over their shoulder.]

Not coming? Only going? Only leaving? You can stay. Stay if you want, and get something done. But I don't have time for questions!

[Lillie honestly can't imagine what this dog-deity is so darn busy with. Especially with an influx of new folks that would be willing to help, shouldn't they be more relaxed? Taking a bit of a break, maybe?]

[But still, she hurries to catch up when she realizes that their walking away wasn't a dismissal. Not saying anything as you walk away is a funny way to say "follow me", for sure, but she's fairly certain their explanation would boil down to "busy dog, must keep working", so she doesn't press the issue at all.]

You have such a beautiful island. [She offers this as an apology for distressing them unintentionally.] So don't worry, I'm sure lots of people will want to help you maintain it.

They ought to. They should! The journey's the most important part, you know. The destination matters some, but only in that it exists to a certain end. And one must get to the end, and the getting to it - that's terribly vital!

[They don't even stop for breath. Just this endless god-chatter streaming on out.]
