Reseed the Meadow So the Cows Don't Starve
As of September 10th, the mana pools on Ensō and its islets will now allow for travel to the new island of Nuidan.

Travelers will arrive on a mana pool situated on the E5 square. The temple is situated in an oasis-like backdrop of amber-colored sands circled with overhanging palm trees. From the island's center, the four corners of the island and its fixed seasonal shifts are more than obvious: to the north, the rainfall-soaked meadows of spring; to the east, the thick clusters of the trees of autumn; to the south, the snow-capped mountains of winter; and to the west, the warm summer sands and pleasant heat.

And inside the temple? The avatar of the island Nuidan is waiting.

[Hello, there. The dog sniffs the strange object a few times, experimentally, before accepting it gingerly between their shaggy jaws. For some reason, they have absolutely no trouble articulating through the mesh.]

Oh, novel. This should expedite fishing so nicely! [They sound...completely earnest over it, too.] It is usable for fishing, yes?

This method has worked perfectly well for me in the past, yes.

[Oh good, they do like it. She's just not going to question how they can fish. Being a spiritual creature probably allows you to manage without opposable thumbs.]

You may. You just have. Was it not imparted to you? Was I not introduced? I ought to have been. Harv is just fine, thank you.

The Storyteller did tell us a bit of you, but there's no substitute for speaking to someone directly.

[She's certainly not going to forget her manners, at least.]

Now, it sounds as though there's quite a bit to be done here. Is there anywhere in particular you'd recommend I start?

Anywhere at all! Anywhere? Everywhere. What do you like to do? Weave? Knit? All manner of things. Can probably do all manner of things indeed, with all those hands!

Well, I do try to keep them busy- otherwise, why bother having so many?

My weaving has proven useful here, and I've also taken to gardening quite a bit- I have hopes of finding more helpful plants here, especially edible ones. I make my living as a baker, in my own world.

[Harv, when she finds out there's wheat and sugarcane on this island, she is going to be such a happy spider lady, you have no idea.]

You'd want a bakery, wouldn't you? Of course you would. I wonder, I wonder...

[For the first time, the god pauses, and cocks their head. As though considering something, or listening to some silent pronouncement only they can hear.]

The bakery I'd like is the one I built at home, but that's worlds away from here and one must make do. I've been managing relatively well with the oven my fellow castaways have built me- really, what I could use are more materials and better tools. Flour, and the means to make it, especially, would be useful...

[For all the she's adapted well to island life, she does still miss her home. But she won't let that stop her from being practical.]

And what would you be willing to do to enable such a thing? There's a trade, you see? A give and a take. A destination and a journey. The journey, to me, is the most important part of all, the true reward.

But the destination matters, as well, to the rest of you, doesn't it?

I would say that both are important, yes. And I would be willing to do a fair amount for the sake of this- what is it you'd ask, as your half of this trade? I'm certain we can work something out.

[She's already here to get shit done, she'd probably do it for the sake of knowing it got done properly, but she's a businesswoman. If someone's willing to pay you for your services, there's no sense in not getting your money's worth- friends don't ask friends to work for exposure, even if those friends are also good dog gods.]

Depends on the work. Depends on how much you intend to do. On how hard you try, yes! It's how hard you try. That's the important thing.

What is it you want? The destination ought to match the journey, I should think.

[Muffet nods firmly. This much, she understands clearly. A fair trade is important.]

If I attempt a task, I will certainly try to do my best work- to do any less would be wasteful.

At the moment, I believe I would like to focus on acquiring more resources for my fellow castaways, especially food and medical supplies. Whatever you can provide in that vein, I am happy to work for.

There are fields to the north, though I can't say what quality they might be in by now. Orchards? Yes, orchards to the east. And animals, a great deal, just generally all strewn about. You'll run into them. Edible, most of them.

Medicinally? Hm. The woods, perhaps. Or the west? The north? All over, maybe.

[At this point, she suspects it's best to just pick a direction and start. She bows her head to them in brief thanks, feeling it would be kinder to let them go back to their work instead of dragging the conversation out too long.]
