Play-date with a void child and a grimmchild
Who: Troupe Master Grimm, the Knight, the Grimmchild and you.
What: Grimm requested the Grimmchild from the Storyteller and his request was granted. Now it is time for a play-date.
When: August 25th
Where: Across Enso
Warnings: Spoilers for the Grimm Troupe DLC.
Note: Both the Knight and Grimm are available to be spoken to so please let us know in your header if you would like a response from Grimm, the Knight or both of them.
[Grimm had many reasons for requesting the Grimmchild charm from the Storyteller. Despite the dangers present in this world, it was one full of life. The living prospered here and the sky was beautiful and blue. There were many curiosities here, things to learn and indulge without shame. Grimm's memories will offer the child so many experiences of eons and reincarnations gone by to be implemented as they saw fit, but there would be things here that even their predecessor has not experienced.
So many reasons but the most pressing one was the simplest: Grimm wanted to see his child again.
He had informed the Knight that their child now lived in this world once the Troupe Master had woken to the Charm containing the tiny scarlet flame in his possession. The Grimmchild had been set back to the form they first had when birthed but that was no matter for the moment. He wished to show the Grimmchild the island and the Knight had been happy enough to join them.
For those who wandered Enso at their leisure, they may stumble across the Knight playing with a strange creature that is making sounds not unlike a kitten. The Grimmchild is sentient and quite willing to approach those nearby if not approached first.
Grimm is supervising closely however, so trouble-makers may wish to be careful. But he looks more relaxed then he was when the flowers were choking the life out of everyone. It is doing his heart good, after all, to see both the Knight and the Grimmchild having fun together.]

The Grimmchild is a born performer and simply 'nyaa's cheerfully at the greeting, giving Asgore a little floating bow. Hello to you, too! ]

[Asgore recalls the Knight as well, and he smiles at the Grimmchild's little bow. How cute!]

They opt for writing, instead, scratching into the ground. Their companion hovers curiously around Asgore, clearly inspecting him. They've never seen anyone like him before.
friend
child
younger sibling
This......doesn't explain that much, but it does seem to confirm they're related in some way. (Though if Asgore is observant, he'll notice that while the Grimmchild doesn't bear much of a resemblance to the Knight beyond monochromatic colour scheme, they might be strongly reminiscent of someone he met before....) ]
no subject
[He sees enough, at least? There's clearly some relation. And if they look like Grimm, well...is it rude to ask about that?]
Well, it is nice to meet you. If I may ask, do you know Grimm?
no subject
But the Knight can't read minds so Asgore's pondering about rudeness goes totally unnoticed. At the mention of Grimm's name, though, they nod eagerly.
(The Grimmchild takes this moment of inattention to land on the Knight's head, happy to use it as a perch for a little while. They make a happy little chirp-meow sound.)
More words scratched in the ground.
yes
from same place
child is his/ours
are you friends ?
Any friend of Grimm is a friend of theirs too, as far as they're concerned. They trust his judgement. He's had hundreds of years more to get that sort of thing right, after all. ]

[They hadn't talked long, but you can't sit and die together without being friends.]
I had not realized you were from the same world. [He frowns a little.] I do know some forms of hands, if that might be easier for you...?
[He means sign language; he's known plenty of people who talk in hands.]
no subject
Also, their vocabulary isn't the most advanced, but they're more competent in it than they used to be! This will do fine. ]

ok-if-do-not-know
[ Grimm, vessel for the Nightmare King though he is, still possesses a mortal body. The Knight is utterly dissimilar in almost every regard - visually, at least. Save the mostly-monochromatic colour scheme.
...Hmm, they should probably have a proper introduction, shouldn't they? They remember they introduced themselves once, a while back, but that was some time ago...
They tilt their head inquisitively, signing slowly. ]
nice-to-meet

what-is-name?
no subject
I am Asgore. King of the monsters, but that does not mean very much here.

[ They seem proud of being able to sign those words, though lacking context that change in body language probably won't mean much.
But they have a name; they named themselves. That is important. ]
what-is-monster?
[ They've heard the word, yes, but it clearly means something different than what they know it as. So they won't assume. ]
no subject
[As a handshake is very much out of the question, he presses a paw to his chest and inclines his head politely.]
Monster is the name of my species. There are some who look like me, but most do not. Muffet is a monster as well - perhaps you have met her? [Everyone seems to know Muffet!]
no subject
They nod. Yes, they know Muffet. ]

[ They tilt their head, a little. Clearly curious about what he can tell them of monsters, as they are with everything. ]
