Play-date with a void child and a grimmchild
Who: Troupe Master Grimm, the Knight, the Grimmchild and you.
What: Grimm requested the Grimmchild from the Storyteller and his request was granted. Now it is time for a play-date.
When: August 25th
Where: Across Enso
Warnings: Spoilers for the Grimm Troupe DLC.
Note: Both the Knight and Grimm are available to be spoken to so please let us know in your header if you would like a response from Grimm, the Knight or both of them.
[Grimm had many reasons for requesting the Grimmchild charm from the Storyteller. Despite the dangers present in this world, it was one full of life. The living prospered here and the sky was beautiful and blue. There were many curiosities here, things to learn and indulge without shame. Grimm's memories will offer the child so many experiences of eons and reincarnations gone by to be implemented as they saw fit, but there would be things here that even their predecessor has not experienced.
So many reasons but the most pressing one was the simplest: Grimm wanted to see his child again.
He had informed the Knight that their child now lived in this world once the Troupe Master had woken to the Charm containing the tiny scarlet flame in his possession. The Grimmchild had been set back to the form they first had when birthed but that was no matter for the moment. He wished to show the Grimmchild the island and the Knight had been happy enough to join them.
For those who wandered Enso at their leisure, they may stumble across the Knight playing with a strange creature that is making sounds not unlike a kitten. The Grimmchild is sentient and quite willing to approach those nearby if not approached first.
Grimm is supervising closely however, so trouble-makers may wish to be careful. But he looks more relaxed then he was when the flowers were choking the life out of everyone. It is doing his heart good, after all, to see both the Knight and the Grimmchild having fun together.]

But since there's a sudden formation of teams, that leaves her to side with the Knight, who seems to be Grimm's next target due to the universal rule of no tag backs being in play.
Don't worry, tiny peanut. She's got you!! Run towards her!! She's waving her arms frantically like she has an idea.]

Well, regardless, they need to run anyway. They put on a sudden burst of speed; they'll need to go as fast as possible to avoid being caught.
THEY'RE COMING TOWARDS YOU REN, HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD PLAN!! ]

Meanwhile Grimm reappears near where the Knight used to stand and turns to face the small group of children with a sly smile on his face. Clearly he has no issues with using his abilities but for the sake of fairness, Grimm will wait a moment for them to plan something out.
Although they best be quick. The Troupe Master will not stand in one place forever...!]

As the Knight gets closer, she scoops them into her arms and and quickly points to the sky above Grimm to distract their tagger and-
Gently places the Knight behind a bush, like no one could possibly see that. It's fine. She hid them. It's fine. Thou shall not be tagged today.]

Well, she definitely tried. They opt for a different tactic, holding still as long as possible before throwing themselves out in a reckless dash right towards - and past - Grimm, as close as they dare to get. Running in an unexpected direction.
Everything is familiar, everything bleeds into each other. A game of tag reminds them of a fiery dance and a cheering crowd. It's almost nostalgic. ]

The speed that they are both going at reminds Grimm strongly of all those moments in their battle, a dance that Divine had been completely correct about. Shadows and flames danced beautifully together and the Grimmchild grew from their passion and fire absorbed.
But if this game was a new dance, then they had more then the two of them as partners and Grimm was not one to leave out everyone else. While Grimm appears in front of the Knight as if to cut them off, he teleports away in a move that is reminiscent of what happened if the Vessel got too close to him when the Troupe Master let lose his firebats.
He reappears beside the Grimmchild and gently taps them with a finger. They let out a thrilled chirp and wiggle their thin limbs in Ren's direct.
She better get moving. The Grimmchild is not as fast as Grimm (and their knowledge of this game is basically "touch people, profit") but they too can teleport.]

The baby hits betray. It's the plot twist of the century. How very dare, little beanpod.
Sorry, Knight. Ren's got her eye on them, but she's also got a small child to contend with and immediately bolts from the little bug to the opposite side of the playing field.]

Meanwhile Grimm will call to the Knight.]
Perhaps your friend requires your help Knight! You know our child is not one to give up so easily.

This will require some thought, though. The aim of the game is to run away from the tagger, and avoid being tagged themselves for as long as possible; if it just switches targets, that's not as fun.
They have an idea.
The Knight puts on a burst of speed, throwing themselves forward and tumbling towards Ren; the reason for their misstep is made apparent when they emerge from their sudden somersault much taller than they were before, using their momentum to keep running forward in longer strides. Their treasured charm gleams proudly on their cloak.
They easily catch up with Ren, scooping her up and swinging her onto their back as if she weighs nothing at all, and glance back to take note of the Grimmchild's position before slowing down just a bit. They can teleport, but they're not nearly as fast as Grimm himself is. Have to keep the game fair, after all.
Still, they keep running, reveling in their renewed strength and speed. And Ren is getting quite a ride from it. ]

She clutches them tight around their neck and points various directions to zig zag them away from this nightmare duo. Yeah, go ahead and teleport now punks!! They're Super Fast. They can't lose!!! The Knight's an adult and living their best, zoomiest life and if they happen to slow at any point, she pats their head because good plan, good plan. She's so proud of them.]
