What: Clothes were requested. Clothes are now granted.

Where: meet me at the room that's literally filled to the brim with clothing in 15 minutes
Warnings: It's just clothes, what could possibly go wrong!
Notes: Everyone gets free clothes whether they participated in the actual request or not. CLOTHES FOR THE ENTIRE ISLAND.


There's a room in the Storyteller's temple; it was once empty, and now it's...not. It is, in fact, full of clothing of all sorts, to the point that it might be slightly difficult to find exactly what you're looking for.

Oh well. It's there now, no takebacks.

[It's not a costume, judging by the way his bones clatter against each other. One of the other shirts he's claimed is costume-ish, though. It's definitely in his top five so far.]

I think this one really suits me!

[Okay. So maybe, just maybe, that does earn a soft amused snort from Carolina. But it does draw a curious question from her in response.]

Do you even get cold?

No? It's the middle of summer.

[Oh. Right. The skeleton thing again. Har har.]

You don't want me walking around with nothing on, all indecent, come on.

[uptightness]

[And, she's not entirely certain what the answer actually is as to whether he feels cold, but she's also not going to push it. She doesn't know him well enough to gauge his replies.]

I've never met anyone like you. I guess it's whether you actually need to worry? That is, can you just wear shorts in the middle of winter and be fine?

Is it common where you're from? I mean, the dead walking around?

Sure. It's the land of the dead. The spirit world. No living people at all, normally.

[Not so snippy now. It's unfair of him to act that way, when almost everyone is freaked out when they first die. He wasn't any different.]

[As if that makes sense.

On one hand, not really, but on the other hand, all she has to do is to look around this place... If whatever this is can exist, why can't other places be different than what she knows?]

And no spirits in the living world, normally?

No, not really. [He sounds a tad anxious about it, even now.] Only once a year, on Día de Muertos. And no one living can see us, usually.

I'm really not supposed to be here at all. But I haven't disappeared or anything, so I guess it's fine!

[uptightness]

Día... de Muertos? Day... of something. Dead? That side glance for a moment, not exactly fluent in Spanish by any sense of the language, but she seems to recall certain festivals, and that had been a big one for Mexicans.]

Considering no one is supposed to be here... I think any rules went out the window.

[vagabone]

Seems like it. I think it'd be worse if no one could see or hear me.

[He'd go loco in less than twenty four hours, probably, with no one to talk to.]

[Huh. Carolina hadn't thought about that, although it's not like she has a reason to. She had gone off the grid, but of her own accord. Being here, but unable to be seen or heard?

And she can't help but wonder now, are there those stuck just like that?]

That would be frustrating.
