CLOTHING ADVENTURES
Who: Anyone! Everyone!
What: Clothes were requested. Clothes are now granted.
When: morning of the 22nd initially
Where: meet me at the room that's literally filled to the brim with clothing in 15 minutes
Warnings: It's just clothes, what could possibly go wrong!
Notes: Everyone gets free clothes whether they participated in the actual request or not. CLOTHES FOR THE ENTIRE ISLAND.
There's a room in the Storyteller's temple; it was once empty, and now it's...not. It is, in fact, full of clothing of all sorts, to the point that it might be slightly difficult to find exactly what you're looking for.
Oh well. It's there now, no takebacks.

So you were gone for years back home, and it's only been a few days here. You miss the end of the party? [aka you miss everyone Dying, pal?]
no subject
I got back in time to make sure they didn’t die alone. [His words are flat and quiet. Keith scrubs at his face and his hand falls to the red Bayard on his hip.]
That was all i could do.

[So Lance...didn't pull through. He'd known better than to hope that the kid would just start turning things around out of nowhere, but - it's never a good thing.]
That's the most you could've done. You make it through yourself?
no subject
Anyway, you made it out, right?
no subject
More or less. Can't say the same for everyone here.

[Keith crosses his arms over his chest. He glances at the pile of clothes with a frown.]
...Reminds me of when the sun rose after the siege was over.
no subject
How's that?
no subject
[Neither of them will look at flowers with good feelings for a while. If ever. He shakes his head.]
You didn't see how many when there was no light save the torches and lamps we had near our camps and outposts. But once the sun was reborn...
[Then it was obvious.] Anyway, we're all back. We can figure out where to go from here.
no subject
I guess we can. I'd ask if you need a sitrep, but I don't think you missed much.
[Just...everyone dying. Horribly.]

After that...probably going to take it easier than I would have before. I have some recovery to do. And I won't waste a healer's time with a bunch of bruising I can heal up on my own.

[Regular North Dakota, isn't he? Too fixated on helping everyone else at his own expense. Maybe that's an unfair comparison; he should know better than to think of North, than to think of any of them, because he can only remember them in the context of the violence of their dismemberment at his hands, the way he set charges into the grooves of their armor with curt efficiency, refusing himself even the basic courtesy of a goodbye.]
You have to look after yourself too, you know. One of those responsibilities you and I were talking about.

First thing I did after... [Everyone died.] Is sleep. Trust me, I'm not going to drop over from exhaustion. Talking to everyone doesn't take up much energy.
But if you'll rest easier, I'll do half now. Half after I get six more hours. [He can compromise. They have some time and Wash isn't wrong. More sleep would do him some good. Hunk will probably get on his case too. He wouldn't be surprised by that at all.]
...just one thing. If you see Lance and he doesn't have his bayard with him. Tell him I have it and I'll return it to him when I see him. I don't want to leave that for long.
no subject
[He didn't make it out, then. That wasn't a shock, given that Lance wasn't in such a great state when Wash talked to him some, but it's still...sobering.]
[He gets over it. He gets over it because he has lost too many friends to take the time to mourn them anymore, so simply nods, because that's just about all he can do.]
I'll let him know.
no subject
[If that thing Wash needs is a chat he'll still come to him. He has shown himself to be a dependable man he can trust.]
Make sure you get some rest too.
no subject
[He blinks. Rephrases.]
...about the...talking thing, anyway. [Doesn't mention that getting rest is not an easy feat for someone like him, but the past week has been a bitch in regards to confessionals and he thinks he's done laying it all out there right about now.]
