CLOTHING ADVENTURES
Who: Anyone! Everyone!
What: Clothes were requested. Clothes are now granted.
When: morning of the 22nd initially
Where: meet me at the room that's literally filled to the brim with clothing in 15 minutes
Warnings: It's just clothes, what could possibly go wrong!
Notes: Everyone gets free clothes whether they participated in the actual request or not. CLOTHES FOR THE ENTIRE ISLAND.
There's a room in the Storyteller's temple; it was once empty, and now it's...not. It is, in fact, full of clothing of all sorts, to the point that it might be slightly difficult to find exactly what you're looking for.
Oh well. It's there now, no takebacks.

Greetings, my friend. This is certainly a curious collection of fabrics. A gift from the Storyteller perhaps but I am unsure what they are for.
[The Troupe Master knew it matched many of the things that others wore on the island of Enso - "Humans", if he recalled correctly - but the purpose of said fabrics is still lost on him.]

(Headtilt.
They would elaborate, but now they are intrigued by something else.
Namely that there is another, smaller but similar, who did not understand the purpose of clothing.)
no subject
Clothing? Ah, would that be what everyone is wearing? The humans, I mean.
[That word is the only point of reference Grimm has for what everyone who isn't a bug is. And yes, Grimm wears a cloak but it was more of an extension of himself rather then a piece of clothing. Removing it was difficult for...many reasons.]
no subject
(They make a note to ask at some point.)
no subject
[That is what bugs had, shells that grew naturally or the armor they managed to scrounge up. The fabric feels too soft to be either but it paid to make sure.]

And they come in quite a variety of colors. For mere entertainment, I assume?
[Quite a few of these clothing were bright and had writing that was both funny and strange.]
no subject
(Legion doesn't really get fashion.)
no subject
[There were so many interesting combinations of colors. And some rather ugly ones but Grimm had no standing when it came to fashion.]
no subject
(Legion is also enjoying the sight, if for somewhat different reasons.)
no subject
[To say the least. Grimm would have a difficult time wearing any of this so likely he'll hand it over to the Knight. But he is gaining some amusement from watching others mingle with others.]
no subject
(That is likely something they would all agree on.
A shirt is tossed aside by... someone and only narrowly avoids smacking into their face.
Curious, they pick it up.)
no subject
Would you like to try it on?
no subject
(That's not a no though, especially with the way they keep looking between themselves and the shirt, as though trying to figure out whether it would be likely to fit.)
no subject
[Grimm holds up the item in question. Are they terrible? Yes. Is it debatable Grimm can even wear them because he does not have human feet? Yes again. But that is not going to stop him.]
I would like to see how they work. And I have also found indulging the unnecessary to bear fruitful things.
[He was a God and doing what he was doing now would be considered "unsightly" but Grimm has long since stopped caring.]
It is your choice if you wish to try, my friend.
[But it may be time for Legion to let down their metaphorical hair. They both were infected by the flowers and faced certain death if a cure had not been found when it did. But now they were well and could have fun with a huge pile of clothing.]
no subject
Those are boots. They are used as protective foot and leg coverings.
(Legion looks back at the shirt.)
Our heuristics suggest organics would find our wearing this shirt to be humorous: we are very obviously a robot.
(Legion's sense of humor is terrible.)
no subject
[Perhaps to protect their feet from rocks and other such rubble. Grimm was used to walking around barefoot (or bare...stumps?) that these things do not bother him personally but he is curious, particularly the height of these shoes.
He kneels down to start unlacing the platform shoes.]
Perhaps you should try it on then. It seems the novelty of these shirts is the messages written on them, particularly if you yourself is amused by them.
[Grimm's own sense of humor is terrible in his own way, so he will not judge.]
no subject
(Legion's ability to appreciate humor is limited, but they're aware of how much organics like this sort of thing.
After a moment, they put on the shirt. It's ...big enough to fit them, at least? They stare at themselves, unsure of what to make of it, but to most other people they probably look absolutely ridiculous.)
no subject
I think we both look wonderful and wonderfully ridiculous. It is always fun to laugh at oneself...oh dear, this is high up.
[He is not afraid of heights as that would make the tricks he performed for the crowds difficult but if Grimm falls he will have to teleport into the clothing pile to not eat dirt again.]
no subject
Acknowledged.
(They raise a headflap.)
Do you require assistance?
(It doesn't seem like he should, but if he's going to fall...)
no subject
[And if these were designed for humans to wear the extra height is more then counter-productive. Perhaps they were supposed to train one's balance rather then be worn like the shorter shoes Grimm has seen while digging in the pile.
He's entertained regardless. That may come from the fact that his troupe often performed death defying stunts and the possibility of a fall into the pile of clothing was more exciting rather then worrisome.]
Human beings are quite a curious species if they make clothing such as these.
no subject
(In that case, they'll just go back to watching him curiously.)
"Fashion" is often valued over personal comfort and practicality.
no subject
[Some bugs like Divine and those of the City of Tears chose to surround themselves with the bright and a shimmering, babbles that may or may not have actual practicality. There were the occasional knickknack or two in the Grimm Troupe's tent because of Divine but Grimm himself quite liked them.
However his own personal "style" came from his cloak and he could do nothing about that - it grew with him, his cloak and wings, and could not be removed to begin with.]
Do many humans prefer to be tall? The height of these shoes suggest as such.
no subject
(They don't know a lot about Human preferences in this area, honestly.)
no subject
[He says this with fondness, however. Bending down Grimm begins to untie the laces of the shoes. This was fun but he would like to continue to walk around and marvel at the strange bits of clothing he found in this monster pile.]
