CLOTHING ADVENTURES
Who: Anyone! Everyone!
What: Clothes were requested. Clothes are now granted.
When: morning of the 22nd initially
Where: meet me at the room that's literally filled to the brim with clothing in 15 minutes
Warnings: It's just clothes, what could possibly go wrong!
Notes: Everyone gets free clothes whether they participated in the actual request or not. CLOTHES FOR THE ENTIRE ISLAND.
There's a room in the Storyteller's temple; it was once empty, and now it's...not. It is, in fact, full of clothing of all sorts, to the point that it might be slightly difficult to find exactly what you're looking for.
Oh well. It's there now, no takebacks.

While Grimm is examining his find, they burst out of the pile triumphantly nearby, clutching a cloak that's actually in their size.
They sit at the foot of the fabric mountain to examine their prize, apparently very pleased with its coloration; black on the outside and lined on the inside with red, with a collar that flares out and jagged edges. More than a little like Grimm's own cloak, actually.
They shake it out to inspect it further with every sign of enthusiasm. You probably couldn't get it away from them without a fight. ]

It is cute in its own way and Grimm is glad to see them having a moment to simply play around rather then carry a dying God on their back when they themself were dangerously sick. The cloak is...curious because Grimm cannot recall why there would be a smaller version of his own cloak in the pile, except for "just because" (which is not much of a reason).]
Are you having fun, my friend?
[The cloak could come later. Right now Grimm wanted to know if they were feeling better after the last...adventure they all had on Umui.]

They look up at Grimm's voice, and nod with significantly more enthusiasm than they had the last time Grimm had seen them. Illness has gone, and energy has returned. They feel much better.
They indicate him, with a little headtilt. A question of their own; it could perhaps be "are you?", or "are you feeling better?" or both. Or something similar. It's up to interpretation, as always. ]

They had the flowers that gave sickness in the past but they are both here now, well and whole, and there is a ridiculous amount of soft clothing with weird colors filling a room. Close enough.
As amusing as it would be, Grimm has not picked up telepathy since they last spoke together. But he can pick up what they mean generally.]
I am well. The burns are healing quite nicely.
[They are still a little sore but manageable. And it is also a lesson learned, to not listen to himself when his thought process is basically to set himself on fire to relieve pain.]
Have you found something interesting among these fabrics? They are quite soft but I am unsure of their purpose.
["Humans" are weird and so are all of the things they wear.]

They hold up the cloak they've found for his inspection, at the mention of 'something interesting'. Though it does look an awful lot like the one Grimm wears, it's clearly of a different make (it would be hard for it to be the same), but the Knight certainly seems fond of it.
It seems like there's more familiar clothing items in between all the ones that were fit for 'humans'. And possibly other things that had the same kind of general shape. (The Knight has very vague concepts of any species that doesn't encapsulate bugs.) ]

The clothing thing was just another oddity on top of everything else.
The Troupe Master kneels to take a look at what the Knight has found and chuckles quietly. It is indeed much like his own cloak but the material is different, although not for a lack of trying. His was an extension of the self and impossible to mimic without some magic on hand. That does not mean Grimm will not appreciate the coloring, however.]
It is quite nice and would not be out of place in my Troupe. [Many within wore the same colors Grimm did.] Are you interested in trying it out for yourself?

They gently swish the cloak, apparently enamored by its movements; much like Grimm, their normal wear is far from a normal garment, and more an extension of their own body in some respects.
But this one is a perfectly ordinary clothing item, and thus has the freedom to swirl around at its wearer's leisure.
If Grimm is getting the impression that perhaps adornments of this sort were few and far between for them, then he's correct. Decoration for its own sake and no practical use is a concept they've only recently started to handle. ]

[Is Grimm praising something that is basically his own aesthetics? Yes, but it does not take away from the fact the Knight does indeed look fetching in those colors. The shadows that trailed behind the Knight when they dashed by his fire had been beautiful but a little more color and pop would be nice now that there was time for more fun and pleasant things.
The Troupe Master was guilty of picking up things that often had no use. Perhaps it appealed to him in some manner and honestly his tents did not come from thin air. And he also knew and worked with Divine, collector of the strange, shiny and "wonderfully" smelly. The odd knickknacks kicking around the Troupe's living space was nothing new.
And here, on an island that could bear the Nightmare King and in another God's temple, was a ridiculous pile of clothing that neither of them knew how to use.
...why not. It is rather flippant but they both nearly died. It was time for some fun.]
Would you like to see what other treasures of strange cloth may be hidden away?
no subject
At Grimm's encouragement, they nod eagerly, happy to go digging for something else that might be useful. Their next small adventure produces a few more items they understand, though the cloak they've found in their size seems to puzzle them.
They do have possession of a bright red scarf, though (among other things) that they hold up to Grimm after inspecting it a moment. It's too long for them; maybe he'd like to have it. ]
no subject
The scarf offered to him is a brilliant red and it reminds Grimm of his Troupe. There is a pang in his heart - he cannot help but miss them - but winds the scarf around his neck regardless, leaving the ends to hang down his back and end just a little before his cloak.]
I certainly strike a dashing figure in this! And it is quite warm. Thank you Knight.
[Grimm turns to dig through the pile himself. His height means he does not have to worry about swimming in the sea of fabric, but everything on the bottom would be lost to him if he did not bend over. Thankfully he is rather flexible.
He comes back up with another cloak. It is a little bigger then the Knight but it should fit them without much issue. And it could double as a blanket thanks to the fuzzy material.]
Would you like this, my friend?
