[Tim is a far cry from a legitimate bartender, particularly as he himself can't and doesn't drink. But he still recognizes people who look like they could need a drink when he sees one. Perks of growing up in Alabama, if you call being able to recognize when someone's walking around with a gun on them a "perk."]

[He pours him a coconut shell of blackberry liquor and sets it down.]

I have no idea how this tastes, but my understanding is that it's pretty strong.

[ Lucas eyes the drink suspiciously, as if it's about to rear up and bite his nose off, then goes for broke and just slams back some of it.

He instantly chokes, and spends the next thirty seconds coughing and wheezing. Needless to say, Lucas does not drink very much. ]

[Utterly monotone. Tim is pretty sure that, upon serving alcohol, they're going to have worse things to contend with on these floors instead of just the occasional backwash.]

[ Welp. He officially looks like a dweebus in front of the bartender. It takes him a few moments, but eventually Lucas stops wheezing and starts breathing normally again. ]

I'm... I'm good! Just great! Not choking anymore, which is great! God, you weren't kidding, that stuff is strong. Sorry, I don't... drink much.

It's fine. I don't drink at all.

[Can't drink is actually the correct word for it, but he doesn't elaborate. Tim merely shrugs.]

We don't have a lot of variation in our alcohol here.

The stuff you do have is pretty damned potent. Holy crap.

[ At this point, Lucas has a nagging feeling that he's forgotten to initiate some important part of this conversation. ]

[He's about on par with Jay in terms of awkward babble, which Tim doesn't mind. He's grown used to someone else stammering and filling the silence with skips and silences and pauses and fillers. It's almost...a reminder.]
