[He sighs.] Yeah.

I should go about actually getting a replacement weapon too but, [His axe has been so abused. He could start asking Storyteller to unchain his talents but....he likes himself just fine. Hinata smiles just a bit.]

I'll deal with that later.

[Tim, fortunately, doesn't have much to worry about as far as "replacement" weapons go. He already has so fucking many.]

[Hinata doesn't want to resort to using his fists. He could but...that would use up too much of his daily energy to make them more effective. He collects one of the flare guns and pauses.]

Have you been to Umui? [He is chasing a thought and it's been bothering him since Komaeda dismissed it.]

I've been on and off.

[Visiting, here and there. He's been splitting his time, but eventually he's rather certain of the fact that to make any headway, he's going to have to start camping there a little more regularly.]

[Fortunate for him that he's used to that kind of thing.]

I've been there. We found some things along one of the coasts. [He takes a second to think about it. Like Tim he's coming to the conclusion he's going to need to camp over there to find any answers.]

If it had been a few meters out it would have drifted out to sea. It had medical supplies but...some missing and other parts too tainted to use. [Hinata grimaces,] And more of that fluro.

Stuff that people drank, right?

[His lips pinch together, brows mashing downward into a scowl. Nothing about this sits right - with him, or with anyone else who's visited Umui, it seems like.]

Have we tried using the fluro to clear out flowers from areas yet?

Not yet. We could set up a test site and see what happens. Somewhere away from everything else.

[His own lips press together in a thin line and his red eye seems to burn just that much brighter.]

I'm wondering if they were sent supplies to help sustain the island. Or something like that.

Some of the diaries and stuff talk about boats, so I'd put my money on it.

[If he had money, and if there was an economy here, that is - he certainly would.]

If they're shipping people in, why not supplies?

Yeah. ...and no one would be in any condition to maintain farms or anything to make their society self-sustaining.

[That's a terrible thought. Good thing he's used to having them or he'd have felt sick. Hinata looks away briefly. Nevermind, he can still feel sick.]

Or want to. It seems like a lot of them accepted what was happening.

It doesn't look like there was anything along the lines of food processing or farming around here, but...I dunno. Maybe it's just been so long we wouldn't see it.

[Considering they haven't even found remains yet, there's probably next to no evidence of how these people actually lived day to day. They can't even find evidence of the people aside from the odd journal entry.]
