You're right about the company. ( meaning, obviously, lance in this instance. ) It's a comfortable enough place to take a break at.

[There's a pause, before the smug look on his face comes back.]

But he said you were there and knew what he got up to at the party, and that I should ask you about it if I wanted to know.

I just don't see why we should keep secrets when we're dealing with something like this. Or why Keith thinks I would like, hold whatever this is against him, or. Whatever.

( he stands up then to walk towards lance, gently placing a hand on his shoulder to comfort him. )
It isn't a discredit to you or your relationship with Keith. We were just talking about old memories. It really wasn't anything. When he feels comfortable, I'm sure he knows that he can talk about it with you too.
But you got to wait for him to be ready.
