...Why are they even here? They don't need to eat.

Still though, they're definitely there, standing with their back to the wall and watching people.)

[Muffet can understand the entertainment value of people-watching, but it still seems rude to just ignore a potential customer entirely, so she greets Legion with a polite little nod and smiles.]

Hello, dearie. Is there anything in particular that catches your interest here, today?

(They don't eat or drink, so...)

[She nods polite, in acknowledgment. Before she returns to her usual area behind the counter she adds:]

Very well. Please do feel free to let me know if there's anything I can offer you.

[They might not need food, but she'll still be behind the bar for some time, so she's right there if they feel like making conversation at any point. Even if they don't have more physical needs, it seems only right to offer some kind of companionship.]

[She works steadily, with the easy motions of one used to their duties. If Legion happens to be paying attention, however, they may catch her humming a quiet song under her breath. It's an absent, idle little noise- she doesn't quite seem to realize what she's doing.]

Eventually, however, they grow curious.)

[Muffet blinks briefly in surprise, catching herself mid-tune as she realizes what she's doing.]

Ah, I didn't even notice... my apologies, I must have been lost in thought. It's a human song, I believe, I know I heard it somewhere in passing. I'm afraid I can't recall the name.

(They chatter.)

[That's one of the robots from the plague island, isn't it? And they're here, alive--or whatever passes for alive for a machine. Because he's been watching Legion for quite some time and he's seen them move.

What's it like talking to an automaton, he wonders. Well, why sit and wonder when he can go over and find out? He sidles over and leans against the wall next to them.]

(Well he got the robot part right, at least.

The skeleton man isn't completely shocking, but they do lift their flaps at him.)

[His face says that's about the worst thing he can imagine.]

[Well, here's... someone. Someone who's either just watching pensively, or... maybe very lost? It's hard to tell when they don't have a face he can examine as a point of reference.

Either way, Ginko inevitably ends up wandering over to Legion, watching them curiously.] ...You need anything?

(Legion examines Ginko curiously in turn.)

(Their voice is very mechanical; unsurprising considering they're a robot. A robot that has no need of food or drink.)

[That's... interesting. Particularly given that Ginko, though he's familiar with the idea of robots, has never met one who wasn't currently... well, turned into a human. Or a plant person. Either way, organic.]

Just here for the company, then? [It's halfway a joke, since they do seem to be observing more than socializing, but... he figures that could still be considered 'company', right?]

Yeah? [Makes sense, he guesses... and he'll take that to mean they're mostly just people-watching.

(People watching is useful for a robot who doesn't entirely understand them.)

Ah, right - that kind of stuff can take some time to get down. [He's not even joking, as far as he knows appropriate social interaction is basically a mystery.] How's it been going so far?

We made allies. Prior to our arrival, they literally stabbed us in the back and abandoned our people to die.

I'm... sorry to hear that. But... things like that may have more to do with those people than what you had or hadn't managed to learn.
