July Adventure: Where the Weeds are Now Growing Free
NEW ISLAND: UMUI
Who: Everyone!
What: Umui appears, and a new adventure begins
When: July 10th and onward
Where: Umui
Warnings: Tag as you go!

What: Umui appears, and a new adventure begins
When: July 10th and onward
Where: Umui
Warnings: Tag as you go!

'Cause the Dirt is Up to My Eyes
As of July 10th, the mana pools on Ensō and its islets will now allow for travel to the new island of Umui.
Travelers will arrive on a mana pool situated on the C1 square. The thick crops of flowers spring freely across the lush, grassy landscape, clustered in dense knots. The variety behind these growths seems profoundly limited: it is as though each flower has only sprouted around others of its kind, mingling solely at the edges. A large building looms in the corner of the region, a twisting, unfurling mass of piping and a half-crumbled metallic shine.
Whatever lays inside, or beyond the island's limits, is for you to discover for yourself.
Welcome to the new island of Umui! As the island is now accessible, feel free to begin preparations and explorations in this log, or create new ones of your own! For further information in regards to the island, or plotting, the following links may prove handy:

"Hmm?" Kaworu is still floating. Odd. Odder still is his statement. She turned her gaze to the sea, which was pretty close, since they were still on the coast of the island. It was still as well, matched the land perfectly.
"It is, but we're here to investigate this island. Anything on it could be use-ful!"
Oh, there she goes, tripping over something, it sends her rolling down a hill, right into another patch of flowers.
no subject
"Oh! Lucky!" he pulled the box out to investigate the insides. "Ah... now this is interesting."
no subject
Is he expected to pay attention to Pyrrha, who goes down--and then continues down, all the way down the hill with no warning or even a sound? Is the box more important? He isn't required to obey SEELE's objectives, but he's still pretending to be something human like. What's the human thing to do?
Well, Komaeda isn't doing anything about Pyrrha... so he guesses he won't either.
Which is great because he didn't know what to do about that.
"What's 'lucky?'" he asks, floating closer out of curiosity.

Stick the landing, stick the landing. Roll with your head tucked down, use your hands to maneuver- Oh god, a rock.
Down she goes, Pyrrha just can't seem to find a good chance to roll out of her fall today. So, she at least manages to roll all the way down to the end of the slope, which isn't that far to begin with.
Dizzy, acutely aware of a pain in her ankle, Pyrrha needs a moment to reorient herself.
"I'm... okay! I guess...?" She calls, somewhat concerned that no one came to her aid, or seems to care at all. But that's not the only thing. "Did you two find something?"
no subject
"We found some sort of liquid!" he bottled it up again placing it in the box before getting up to go down the hill to see if Pyrrha was okay. He wasn't completely oblivious.
"Hopefully it wasn't such a find that you're too badly hurt."
no subject
Kaworu is not superb at taking social cues, sorry Pyrrha.
"He found something, but it's in bottles."
no subject
She makes sure to gather the flower she dropped up, as well as another of a different color, from the spot she landed in.
"Bottles...?" Pyrrha starts the slow, and somewhat sore, climb back up, prepared to meet Komaeda halfway if she can. "What are bottles of liquid doing in a box, half-buried in the ground?"
no subject
"One of them says Fluro, they smell a bit like ammonia," which wasn't that helpful.
no subject
This is not something he was taught to deal with, and it's absolutely nothing he has an innate ability (or desire) to learn. Honestly, he doesn't see what the excitement is. Some jugs in a box? What's so 'lucky' about that?
no subject
"Please, it's alright. I've taken far worse falls, back home." There was that pleasant spirit. Even if she comes out of it with a bruise or two, it's nothing she can't handle. And there's more important things at hand.
"You said ammonia?" Once they're both to the top again, she gets to work, taking one of the jugs to inspect for herself. Uncorking one, taking a sniff, and closing it again. "Strange, but it could be a cleaning product. Ammonia is used in many kinds."
no subject
"Still, I feel a little at fault."
Once back up at the top he nods at her observation.
"True, though it's vary faint and a strange colour," he pulled out the jar he had looked at before, opening it up again to look inside. "At least it's not like any cleaning supplies I'm familiar with," he then poured a bit on the ground, as if to get a better look at it. He didn't think much of it until the plants started withering away and dying. "My... that's a rather quick reaction."
no subject
Watching them pass the bottle around, smell their contents, and pour it on the ground is all very strange, but interesting in a similar way.
It's not until the plants begin to wither that he realises there was actually a purpose to emptying some of it out.
Resourceful. Clever. Humans!
"What are you going to do with it?"
no subject
Pyrrha found that every little bit of helpfulness, well... helped. Case in point, Komaeda offering a hand up. Pyrrha would always appreciate the little things like that. After all, aren't they all in this together? Helping each other was important.
Before there's any word of what he's doing, suddenly, we're pouring the contents of a bottle onto the ground? "What are you...?" But quickly enough, they begin to see the result, and Pyrrha crouches down to look closer. Her brow knits together.
"Well, we know it's... quite strong now. Or at least effective against plants?"
no subject
"As for this, I'm going to keep it. If anything it would be useful for keeping the garden clean. But, it might have other interesting properties and uses," but was it simply a weed killer?
Sorry for the wait! Real life, etc.
"I don't have any use for anything like that."
He isn't being modest. He really doesn't, and wouldn't under any circumstance. Chemistry, creativity, that sort of thing... it's really not his... well, thing.
He is thinking about it, though, enough to offer a suggestion.
"We should keep looking. Maybe there's more."
I know that feeling...
Just what else was this island keeping from them?
She looks to Kaworu, gently nodding. "If you don't want them, I'll be glad to split it with Komaeda. I actually have a garden I could use it on too."
no subject
"And since we did find something, looking around more is a good idea. Who knows what else might surface!"
