Those words are enough to latch on and she ignores the scheduling problems for the easily solvable cooking issue. She can't do anything about the restaurant business save for pestering her uncle about his vacation time, looking up the hours on a frequent basis and hoping it shuts down for remodeling. She eyes the bowl and whisk with a sudden intensity because if she can learn how to cook now, he might be ready to leave this behind. There's a surge of hope that comes from his uncertain words because she's going to find a way to-
