November Adventure: The Good, The Bad, And The Dirty
NEW ISLAND: MONSUN
Who: Everyone!
What: Monsun appears, and a new adventure begins.
When: November 24th
Where: Across the islands!
Warnings: Tag as you go!

What: Monsun appears, and a new adventure begins.
When: November 24th
Where: Across the islands!
Warnings: Tag as you go!

I've Never Been Better- Or Worse
As per the Storyteller's advice, the morning of the 24th will find characters waking to the sight of land in the far distance; Monsun is now accessible for one-way travel. Your mission, should you choose to volunteer for it? Traverse to this new land, and locate the mana pool. All characters will be reminded on departure that they may not be capable of returning until they have, so pack wisely.
The land of Monsun, even from a distance, may strike travelers as a peculiar one. One half appears to be made up of lush, deciduous woodland entirely at odds with the coastal, tropical aesthetic that Ensō so boasts. The other half appears to be dry and bare, full of cracking cliffs and sandy wastelands. Indeed, once characters set foot on this new land, they will discover that this is precisely the case: the island is divided by a dark ribbon of water, an east side rich with life and a west side stark and rife with danger.
And yet, it isn't that simple.
Feeling prepared? Now is the time to make arrangements and collect what you'll need for the journey. Find companions, say goodbye to loved ones- and of course, take your first step forwards into new lands. Best of luck, adventurers.
You may need it.
Welcome to the new island of Monsun! As the island is now accessible, feel free to begin preparations and explorations in this log- or create new ones of your own! For further information in regards to the island, or plotting, the following links may prove handy:

11/28-B2, Near the River
Ardyn...well, he's a different case.
Still, they had parted ways some time ago with Ignis staying near to the river so he could continue to keep the plants he's gathered watered. At some point, he wants to explore what lies on this side of the river aside from desert, but he doesn't dare strike out into the sands alone. He might have come a long way based on skill and luck, but he's not so prideful to think he can face a desert alone.
Ignis has just finished watering the witch hazel for the day and has settled back against a rock near the river to consider what he will do next when a familiar voice catches the edge of his hearing. In a blink, he's on his feet and turned away from the river, calling out over the sands.
"Prompto? Is that you?"
no subject
The joy was palpable. As soon as he heard Ignis, Prompto came running. And running. He didn't actually seem to be slowing down as he got closer, and soon enough he lunged at Ignis in a large embrace. A little friendlier than normal.
"I knew you'd be okay."
His confidence was surging as well. His tone didn't seem to have any doubt in it. Just faith in Ignis' ability. While he'd done his best to be supportive over the many weeks, it was different than his usual reassuring tone. Fear wasn't obscured behind it.
After giving him an unabashed hug, he stepped back and relaxed. Ignis had plants with him? Of course he would have thought of something like that. Prompto should do something, too, to help them survive on that side.
Of course, when Ignis heard Prompto it was only because he hadn't come alone. His foot dragged along the ground as he swiveled to look back at Ardyn.
"I ran into Ardyn. He told me you were this way." He needed to make sure that Ignis was aware they weren't the only two there.

Okay, 'feel' and 'hear' would be better words, but Ignis isn't going to bother correcting himself. Instead, he smiles at Prompto when he pulls away, but before he can say more the blonde introduces his surprise traveling companion. Ignis redirects his look, smile softening a little, though remaining firmly on his face.
"I am and you are doing much better than when we last met. I'm quite glad of that." A mischievousness enters his smile as he turns his head back toward Prompto, "My little chocobo hasn't caused you too much trouble, has he?"
no subject
"Hey, I don't cause problems," he retorted without a hint of genuine indignation. "We were just discussing stuff." He glanced at Ardyn briefly before turning back to Ignis as an important question came to mind. "Have you eaten anything?"
In his hand, a piece of hardtack that Ardyn had given to him earlier. He'd taken some bites but he hadn't eaten the whole thing, and he was ready to push it into Ignis' hand if he needed something.
no subject
Ardyn punctuated the assessment with a slight laugh, like it was a joke that meant nothing whatsoever.
"As for the dear chocobo," which came with a light and affable tap to Prompto's shoulder, "he's been nothing but excellent company."

...when he ate last. His supplies are dwindling, but he does still have some. There's no way Ignis is going to take whatever little bit Prompto might still have with him.
He motions with his head toward the little set up he has going on near the rock, "It's hardly a proper camp, but if you want to join me and rest a spell, you're certainly welcome. Have you met with anyone else recently? Has there been talk of some kind of semi-permanent camp yet? We will need one sooner or later."
no subject
Prompto could be an odd mixture at times of horny and innocent. He thought about sex often enough, but he was still innocent enough to blurt out something without considering how else it could be interpreted.
He couldn't help but stiffen a little when Ardyn set a hand on him. The last time they were like this it had been at the caravan, and Prompto had to lean pretty far to keep from suddenly being touched. That hadn't gone away entirely. It was still weird to have Ardyn's hand on his shoulder - maybe even moreso now considering the events that had occurred after they camped together.
Still, he didn't lean away like he had before. Instead he glanced up at the other man with a tight expression, really examining the danger values here. His mind still very much remembered everything that had happened before. He was much like a cat on alert that hadn't quite decided to slink away yet.
Ignis might not have been able to see it, but when Prompto continued talking his tone had dropped to something slightly more serious. "I haven't seen anything yet. I was thinking of staying by the river and doing runs to get supplies from the other side. I don't know where the best spot to be is yet, though."
Even his suggestion was being put out there for evaluation. It might be that Ignis would tell him going back across would be an awful idea.
