Ruins Mingle Log!

What: So a bunch of people headed up towards the ruins, so they've got to all run into each other and start to congregate, right???
When: Evening of the mingle log and onwardish.
Where: The Ruins

The beach curves up a gentle slope until it meets forest, some manner of building visible through the trees. Further exploration of this area will reveal a dilapidated building of sorts; the architecture is indiscernible to even the most skilled eye. Despite looking as if it has seen better days, there are areas that offer some form of shelter...and who knows what else. Just because it appears uninhabited doesn’t mean you won’t wind up pleasantly, or unpleasantly, surprised.


[ooc: Hey y'all! I thought this might be a good place to start getting larger groups of characters together to do some exploring, settling down, banding together and figuring out rations, etc. Feel free to throw up any threads of your own for specific things like exploration groups, a gathering in the entrance hall, whatever strikes your fancy or that you think your character would organize. Have a party!

[Why does no one want to eat their veggies? What did the vegetables ever do to you?

Ignis finds himself holding back a grin when he hears Noctis being referred to in such a manner. He almost wants to correct the title to 'Noctis the Prince' or even 'Noctis the King,' but it is probably better to let as few people as possible know that for now.]

Why don't I start with myself since we haven't introduced ourselves yet? I'm Ignis. You could call me several things. I'm an advisor, and obviously the cook. I'm just not anyone's mum no matter what the others may tell you.

[He is so totally the mum...err...mom.]

Noctis' best friend Prompto is also here. He's a photographer when he's not masquerading as a chocobo. A member of the Kingsglaive by the name of Nyx Ulric is here as well. We call him the Hero back home, but he's really a normal guy like the rest of us despite his penchant for finding trouble.

Can you tell me what Ruby looks like? If one of us runs into her, we can let her know you're looking for her.

[Look if they don't eat their veggies that means other people get them, Ignis! Jaune's actually helping that way. He winces apologetically; he hadn't meant to forget to introduce himself.]

I'm Jaune. Sounds like you have a lot of roles to play. [Some more delicious than others. But that mum comment earns an eyebrow quirk.] Every team needs a team mom, y'know.

[If he starts noticing Ignis acting mom-like he'll never let him live it down.]

Is Prompto like some sort of double agent? [He has no idea what a chocobo is.] That makes at least two trouble-seekers on the island once we find Ruby. I'm glad you have some people from your world here. What's a Kingsglade?

Thanks. She's pretty short, almost as short as Weiss, and she's got dark hair about to her shoulders. She wears a red cape, and she has silver eyes.

[Ignis nods, tucking away the description for later use. On its own, it's not that much use to him because he can't see, but he is certain he won't be alone all that much and it will be useful to those with him.]

A double agent?

[The advisor is legitimately confused for a few seconds before he realizes that Jaune doesn't know he was joking. Well, that's not the boy's fault. It's hard for people who have known him his whole life to recognize when he's joking sometimes. It would be even harder for a stranger to tell.]

Oh no. He's nothing of the sort. It's just that his hair reminds one of a mess of chocobo feathers, so it's a running joke among us to compare him to a chocobo. It doesn't help they are one of his favorite animals. He just goes nuts whenever we rent them for a ride.

As for the Kingsglaive...

[Ignis gently corrects the name of the group knowing it has to be hard for Jaune to keep track of all the odd names he's hearing.]

...they are an elite group of highly-trained fighters who guard the royal family by wielding their magic. When I was younger, Nyx actually helped train me in the use of my own weapons.
