Ruins Mingle Log!

What: So a bunch of people headed up towards the ruins, so they've got to all run into each other and start to congregate, right???
When: Evening of the mingle log and onwardish.
Where: The Ruins
Warnings: Um...same as the mingle log?



The beach curves up a gentle slope until it meets forest, some manner of building visible through the trees. Further exploration of this area will reveal a dilapidated building of sorts; the architecture is indiscernible to even the most skilled eye. Despite looking as if it has seen better days, there are areas that offer some form of shelter...and who knows what else. Just because it appears uninhabited doesn’t mean you won’t wind up pleasantly, or unpleasantly, surprised.


[ooc: Hey y'all! I thought this might be a good place to start getting larger groups of characters together to do some exploring, settling down, banding together and figuring out rations, etc. Feel free to throw up any threads of your own for specific things like exploration groups, a gathering in the entrance hall, whatever strikes your fancy or that you think your character would organize. Have a party!

The Chancellor.

Nyx takes another deep breath, even if it's a bit shaky when he lets it out. His fingers clench again into tight fists, his knuckles turning white as his nails bit into his skin.

First he finds out about Ardyn's potential involvement in Ignis' blindness, now Luna.

The train of thought continues and suddenly Nyx is filled with even more worry.

"Libertus..." In the initial shock he'd forgotten but now his eyes go wide. "My friend Libertus was supposed to be with her."

"Sorry." Luna hadn't mentioned anyone by the name. Hell, for a while, he wasn't even aware that Luna had been in Insomnia. "I didn't really get to talk to her. Everything was. . . .hectic."

To say the least.

"It's... It's fine." It wasn't fine. It was far from fine. Everything was wrong, but Nyx couldn't let himself spiral into the worry and anger.

Not when it was clear someone else was suffering more then him.

"I'm sorry."

Noctis looked over his shoulder, then turned to face Nyx. "So, you were with her when she was in Insomia?" His last moments and memories of Luna were of her dying, maybe Nyx had something not so awful to think about.

"I was." It takes Nyx a few seconds to realize just why Noctis might have asked him the question. He pushes a loose braid behind his hair, thinking back to the whirlwind of the last few days. "A friend of mine was supposed to escort her to Altissia to meet with you but... Well, she ended up in Insomnia. I ended up on guard duty and then when she was abducted lead the rescue operation."

He wondered what would've happened had he not realized Luna was missing. Would Insomnia still have fallen? Who could say.

"Let me tell you though your hi-" He catches himself, hesitates before: "Noctis, she was a determined lady once she put her mind to it. Even if it meant jumping out of a plane."

"Yeah, that's for sure." He looked up at the sky. He felt his chest get tighter. If only he could have Umbra here. At least he could read the last words she wrote to him. "She was definitely amazing. I only wish I had half the courage that she did."

"That's the funny thing about courage, you know. The only thing holding someone back from gaining more is themselves." He clasps his hands behind his back, glancing at the young King before ahead. "Of course, that's a lot easier said than done and even then I think Lunafreya would trump us all with how much courage she has... Had."

The correction hurt.
