Who: Luna and Ren
What: Adventuring for cool things and finding weird bushes instead
When: 10/15

[Exploring is usually the last thing on Ren's mind and yet, on any given day, she typically ends up wandering away from camp, looking for treasures, flowers and everything in between. She's confident she can hide, find places to squeeze herself into should any dangerous creatures rear their heads, but she doesn't have that same confidence in all the brave people she's met. They don't seem to understand the benefit of her patented 'hide and wait it out' method and it's troubling. Luna, after watching her try to climb a tree, was quickly added to her ever-expanding list of people to worry about.
That's why it was all too easy for her to say yes to an adventure. Not that she needs an excuse to hang out with this cheerful girl. It's uplifting to be around someone like her and Ren finds herself smiling more often than not whenever Luna speaks. She would gladly take any opportunity to be with her. Ambling around the island with her has been fun so far, but the further they walk into the forest, the more apparent it becomes they could get lost. The trees are cramped together here and it's already starting to look the same no matter what direction she looks.
In anticipation of a potential bad end, she picks up the small cat that had been trailing at her heels for most of the walk and looks around. Maybe there's a huge tree they could mark? Or maybe Luna's weird blue fox can do something?]
We should make landmarks. Something like that.

ONE BILLION YEARS LATER
[ Luna walks alongside Ren, grinning at her suggestion. Finally. It took a little bit of work. But being able to spend some time with Ren is always, always a pleasure.
Nina strolls around nearby, sniffing and scratching at trees with frosty paws. ]
Nina can also ice the bottoms of trees we've passed-- and her ice is really cold! It'll stick around for a while, I think!

But even if it melts, that leaves a nice treat for any nearby flowers and trees. Ren's got a semi-decent memory for this sort of thing and a bag full of chalk for the tricky areas.]
It would make the trees happy. They can have a drink later.

[ Nina steps over. A little ice beam? Pls. A brisk breath of air, and there's a patch of ice against the base of the tree, a soft fog rolling from it. That doesn't look like it'll be melting any time soon. ]
How's that? Nina, was that okay?
[ Nina grooms her face a bit with a licked paw and makes a small, cooing noise. Yes, yes, all is fine and there's ice now. >:C little ice beam. Nina just wants to show off. ]

She makes a mental note to not let Nina breathe on her or ESP kitty and leans down to wave her hand over the ice. It's so cold. It feels nice, actually. Makes her realize just how humid the island is. She hovers over the ice patch, soaking up this temporary relief to the heat around them.

Is this how 'winter' happens?
[Because somehow, animals spawning all over ye olde Tokyo to breathe on things makes sense. Water freezes in the cold and she gets that, but maybe animals like Nina help ice everything over? #logic]

Sorry... [ with a laugh, Luna rubs the little, harmless red spot. ] Winter happens all by itself! The seasons change-- where I'm from, the leaves change colors and some pokemon migrate away from the cooler temperature!
[ Nina wanders away, smelling the air and blowing a frigid breath against the base of another tree. Just to prove a point. >:C #icepokemonpower. ]
