At the entrance to the Storyteller's temple on Enso, a large cow woman has created a little workstation for herself. A somewhat centipuppy-shaped sheet of leather lays next to her, along with a few squares of painted rawhide: each has had a sparse, but decent map drawn onto it, with the locations of the mana pools marked, as well as a few notable landmarks. Thereth is in the process of painting more of these as she sits and waits for people to pass by. Erected in front of her is a roughly-made wooden sign:

(Don't worry if you're feeling shy; she'll smile and wave if she spots you. Can't trade very well if no one's brave enough to come over.)

Mickey returns the smile and waving, walking on over. He's not wearing shoes.

"Hiya Thereth! Whaddya got goin' on over here?"

Oh, it's her cute giant mouse(?) friend! Thereth sets down her inkpen and turns the map she's painting towards him, eager to hear his thoughts.

"I thought these might help everyone. Of course, there's not much in the middle yet."

"That's understandable." Mickey leans over as best he can. "Hmmm... so what kinda stuff are you lookin' for, since you wanna trade 'em?"

"Well...I suppose I was thinking that people could just bring their own materials for the maps. I know there's not too much to trade for here. Although," she brightens up, "if someone could make me something to wear besides my armor, that would be very nice. It gets quite hot."

Who knows, maybe mice people can sew?

Mickey smiled sheepishly - while he could sow, it wasn't exactly a talent he'd brag about. Mostly because he wasn't very good at it. "Huh, well... guess we'll have plenty of time to get better at making armor, long as we're here."

Aww, Mickey, it’s ok! You can only get better at it from here, right? Probably. Thereth doesn’t look put out - it’s not as though tailoring is a common skill, and other races seem to have trouble with Tauren proportions anyway.

“That is true. It isn’t so bad, having time for crafts.” She’s happy enough with her job as a soldier, but she does like making things and doodling, too. She fishes a map out of the small pile and offers it to him. “Here, dear. You don’t need to give me anything for it.”

(She’s maybe not the greatest salesperson. But she wants to be nice!)

Mickey stares, but then holds out his hands in defiance. "Now hold on! I don't need it... it's more important you give it to people who can give you what you want!" He won't take advantage of anyone's kindness, because he's too kind himself. "You keep it. I'll work on my sewing, and when it's time, I'll make everything even!"

Yrel always has some kind of personal business to address. Because her personal business is the leadership and protection of others, she is always moving from one place to another to provide as much aid as possible. It is during one of her many short journeys that she finally comes upon Thereth, an unfamiliar figure from a very familiar race.

The draenei is visibly relieved to see the tauren. She diverts from her path to approach the other woman with a soft and welcoming smile on her face. As she draws closer, she realizes what it is Thereth is doing. Before she admires the maps too much and becomes distracted from her duty, Yrel speaks to Thereth first.

"Excuse me for interrupting you. Your work is very impressive. I couldn't stop myself from coming to meet you. I'm glad to meet someone from the other world, even if we have not met."

It's always interesting meeting an Alliance soldier on neutral ground. Thereth herself is happy enough to make friends, or at least acquaintances, but she understands that the sentiment isn't always returned. But, happily, this paladin has a kind look on her face. And kind words, as well; Thereth is both pleased to be welcomed so warmly and rather proud to have her art admired.

She touches her heart, and then her forehead, a traditional greeting. "Thank you, friend. It is good to meet you as well. I am Thereth.” Setting the in-progress map aside, she reaches over for one of the finished pieces, and offers it to Yrel. If you're gonna say nice things about her work, then you might as well take one!

Yrel takes the map, well-designed in spite of their lacking resources, and calmly appraises it. It's a relief to have found someone with enough sense and forethought to not just create a map, but also to share it with others. The draenei lowers the map to her side to once again speak to the tauren woman.

"Thereth," she repeats back to the other to confirm her pronunciation is complete. With that out of the way, Yrel introduces herself. "I am Exarch Yrel. How are you doing? You are so far from home."

[She doesn't need to do much to get Muffet's attention- the spider monster is both intrigued by her maps and entirely unfazed by her appearance. She approaches with a smile and a polite wave.]

[She doesn't mind the other woman's appearance, either, but she is rather curious. Thereth hasn't really seen many spider-people before - well, okay, she has, but they're like way less cute than this one. How neat!]

I don't believe so. I am Thereth. Well met, Miss...?

Muffet. It's always pleasure to meet an enterprising businesswoman. May I have a look at your wares?

[What a charming spider-person this one is! She never really thought of herself as enterprising, but she rather likes the idea. To return the curtsy, Thereth gently touches her heart, then her forehead. (She was never very good at actually curtsying. Ungulate and all.)]

[Muffet smiles, recognizing the gesture for an act of politeness even if she's not familiar with the specific custom, and begins to look curiously through the maps on the table.]

Oh yes- I can offer a few different options, depending on what you'd prefer.

I am a baker by profession, and can make you food with a bit more flavor to it than what can be found by foraging on the island, with my magic to ensure that it doesn't spoil before you eat it.

Or, if you'd rather add textile crafts to your table, I'm capable of weaving some silk thread or cord for you.
