[It's been a long time since someone could feel her too.
Murasaki-chan and Taako and Seto-they were the only ones that seemed to get it intrinsically. To understand that kind of thing without words and accept it with an ease that no one else could-speaking with the heart and loneliness and having them both gone-
She didn't realize how much comfort she took from them simply understanding. From hearing her. From having them listen to her heart and get what she couldn't ever put into words.
She didn't realize how quickly she got used to it and how easy it had been to take for granted until-
They were all gone. When it felt like a barrier had risen between her and everyone else and no one understood, even though people tried. They definitely did and she tried to help them understand in turn, but-
It had been so easy with Mursaki-chan and she's reminded of that now, as he says her heart is pretty. As he talks in her terms, tries to placate her with words she gets and while her immediate reaction is to deny it, the thought alone enough to make toes feel numb. Saying it out loud with Umui's sickness-that's not a wise choice to make.
Murasaki's heart was always so beautiful and now that he's back after an absence that felt entirely too long, she's reminded of it. Can see it. Can feel it and it feels-
Like part of her family has come home, even if she's sure he'd rather be back with the rest of his kitty family, his brothers, his parents-
A part of her-the most selfish piece that missed him and wished for him to return night after night after night-
She's so happy he's back, at least for now. It gives them a little more time, another chance, to create some memories she can treasure when he makes his final trip home.]
