Who: Kiri + OTA
What: the arrival of a bird child!
When: now~
Where: Enso and islets
Warnings: eventual cussing probably
Kiri wakes up in the temple, about as confused as a kid can get, since that's definitely not where she went to sleep. There's no sign of her guardians, the area in no way whatsoever resembling Hupperdook. She doesn't entirely understand the dream she had with the Storyteller, either, but she can understand this much as reality sinks in: she's no longer home, and she's on her own. It's enough to get her up and about, gathering whatever belongings she's been allowed and marching herself right out the door.
...Okay, maybe she hides behind a few things on the way. And the whole while that she explores. New places are scary, and last time she was on her own she nearly got eaten by a crocodile.
Her first task is to find a mana pool and park herself beside it, since that's how people get from place to place, apparently. The dream taught her how they work, but without the locations or the words to say, she can't do much with them besides admire the scenery. It's as good a place as any to meet people, though, so she settles in to wait.
Her next task is to play with the Stone of Farspeech she'd been given, which is how the unhelpful messages of, "I’ve never done this before!" and "I can send a Message," end up being broadcast, along with a few chirps and curious squawks. No idea what this does! But hey, it's out there now. Those who knew Jester might recognize her voice.
Her final task is to get herself fed while she waits for someone to help her, and conveniently, she woke up with a snack! Unfortunately, said snack is Candied Vines, the best way to get high as- well, a bird. And that's why, should anyone come across where she's waiting, they will find a gleeful, sleepy-eyed kenku child sprawled out in the greenery by the pool trying to make snow angels. Someone should probably confiscate that...

After a while, she ought to be settled in and properly caught up (and also wound down from that silly high the vines had given her), which means she's free to venture out and explore the more populated areas, to meet new people and get acquainted with her new "home".
In a more public place (and with the Mighty Nein nearby to back her up) she's growing much more bold than she'd been upon arrival, so she may just wander up to people to greet them. Hello, new neighbour! Let's be friends. She's very sweet, you see.
