The fact this has gone on for so long is a huge embarrassment for Faust, especially for having allowed himself to get distracted by the fascinating environments of the isles when he really should have been working on the clinic's infrastructure...
And now they have injured they cannot treat. This cannot continue, no ifs, no buts.

"If you're not certain, don't worry about it - I'm compiling a list of things we need, and I intend to ask our supposedly benevolent overlord for them. I'll also be asking around to see if there's anybody capable of refining our herbs into more usable forms, or perhaps someone proficient in woodcarving..."
