The longer Five thinks about his current circumstances, the more obvious it becomes - he doesn't have enough information. He needs coordinates, a trajectory, he needs to retrace his steps to get back. He's trying to work through the equations involved in the jump but there's too much missing and it's impossible to keep track of all the unknowns.
"I know, this would be so much easier if I had a pen or something." He shoves a hand through his hair, suddenly catching movement out of the corner of his eye and he wheels around.
Turns out it's the first person he's seen since he got here, and something tight in his chest loosens at the sight. Because another person presents the possibility of answers, obviously.
"You!" He points at the man as if he's trying to nail him to the spot. "What's the date? Be exact."
