i'm looking for an easy thing [ OPEN MINGLE ]
Who: Anyone and everyone! Who wants to look at books?
What: BOOKVALANCHE
When: Let's say from the 25th and onward for simplicity
Where: The Storyteller's Temple, in addition to the library that's finally getting some much-needed attention
Warnings: Mark anything that comes up!
The library is finally getting some renovations! Between some new bookshelves (hope someone here is good at hauling) and a veritable cascade of all sorts of books and supplies, an awful lot needs to be transferred from the Temple to the heretofore unused library, and any help anyone has to offer is much appreciated!
But, of course, there's also so very much to go through for your own perusal. Just look at all this! Coloring books, puzzle books, stories of all sorts, comic books, fashion magazines, all sorts of survival texts...you name it.
This all needs to be put away and stored in those neat little waterproofing book protectors - shelves need to be moved, supplies need to be secured, and someone should probably take inventory. But also...there's a lot of fresh new reading material on an island that previously had none.
Isn't that worth looking over?

And somehow, you are not reassured previous stunts have made you memorable? I do not forget necromancers, Foster. You may have your personal opinion about the quality of work I produce, but I am no idiot. I know you are a danger.
[He makes a little face, a perturbed sort of twist to his mouth.]
Does that satisfy you?
no subject
Even if Foster's face reflected anything remotely accurate to his actual thoughts, there's no way to wear that plainly, so he mostly just perks up, straightens a little, like Kravitz has paid him a compliment he didn't expect.]
....yes, actually.
[He speaks more plainly, suddenly, than he ever does. Or perhaps this is as plain as he ever speaks... it just makes more sense on the outside than usual.
A pause. Then, as though he's testing something--or maybe someone:]
Do you think I'm competent?
no subject
Kravitz absentmindedly shakes his head. He's not going to sit here and wax too-apropos metaphors about Foster of all people.]
I did not say competent, I said dangerous, which anyone is capable of being. You are simply memorable for breaking two of my ribs and forcing me to burn a favor to get corpse blood out of my suit.
[He looks none too happy to be thinking of that memory.]
You were dealt with in the way the Storyteller felt right. I defer to their judgement. So I have no recourse against you if you've chosen to behave.
no subject
It's not apparent, generally, just how tense he is at all time--both the tight, short movements and grand, dramatic gestures are both an expression of the same tension, a driving desperation of correction, an unceasing impetus of the same perpetual, constant error, the same wrong.
Wrong factually, yes. Wrong, as in incorrect. But also wrong as in a failure of moral nature.
A mistake, deliberate or otherwise, that Kravitz has just (knowingly or unknowingly) declared he is above.
It's such a relief that Foster actually doesn't speak. Well, one word.]
Behave?
[It's like he was drowning and now, finally, has half a chance to breathe. Just one breath, maybe, one deep and much battled-for gasp of air. Before he has to go under again.]
no subject
I... yes??
[Alright, he's losing any composure he has to sheer confusion, now.]
