[Ignis knew going into it that this exploration was going to be cold, though he may have underestimated just how cold it was going to be. They'd survived the sun dying and the cold that came with that, but this was a completely different thing, wind whipping snow into the tiniest gaps in clothing and coats. Prompto, at least, was set for this kind of weather considering he was dressed for the snows of Niflheim when he arrived here. Ardyn doesn't feel heat or cold, which just left him freezing, but unwilling to say anything. Of course, he must have failed to hide his discomfort miserably since it hadn't taken long at all for Ardyn to sigh and drop his coat over Ignis' shoulders.
It isn't hard to admit, after that, that he suddenly understands why Asch stole Ardyn's coat and wore it through much of the darkness that followed the sun's death. Ardyn might not feel heat and cold, but his coat is certainly one of the warmest things Ignis has ever worn.
He tucks his chin farther into the collar, senses focused as outward as possible considering they're moving through unfamiliar terrain. Both Prompto and Ardyn have helped him when needed, but he would rather they be able to keep their senses turned outward as well. It won't do for something to sneak up on them while they are focused on helping him.
Even with how good his hearing has become since he lost his vision, Ignis can't help but question himself when he thinks he hears heavy footsteps nearby--footsteps that belong to neither of his companions. He finds himself stopping in his tracks, waiting for a repeat of the sound. When the repeat comes, not only does he hear it, this time, he also feels it.]
Does anyone else hear that? Something's nearby. Something large.
