The aches made it difficult to sleep but he'd at least been getting some rest when a wet nose suddenly touched him and there was snuffling right by his ear. He turned his face away and pushed back the big guy immediately, flailing his limbs a little as he woke abruptly.

He shook what grogginess he could from his eyes and glanced up from the ground to see what in the world was going on.
