This is so-- he had thought this was bafflement, anger, but Kravitz is finding he's mostly annoyed. He knows the power of death. Understands what it means to witness something's end, the unique crystalized power in something where life crosses over into death. He also knows those things, those magics, are incredibly dangerous. To bear witness is one thing. To harness, another. And he wonders-- no, he worries-- that Foster is here for entirely the wrong reasons.

Kravitz narrows his eyes, but holds fast.

"There is always decay in the world. There is always the entropy of the universe. But death is simply another part in existence. A shifting of energy from one form to the next. There are more endings than you can imagine." This man does not want to be helped-- it's no matter. Kravitz tries to remind himself this isn't his domain, his laws, even as he wants to uphold them. "I abhor you to remember that death is a piece of a whole. Not a great and final bell as you seem to wish it so."
