"Buuut, even though there's got to be a bajillion humans in all the different worlds, for some reason some of my friends ended up here. And the same with other people. So, maybe it is your friend!"
Though his explanation might've been lacking, he did have a grasp of the astronomical odds of 2 random people who know each other being randomly chosen out of the hundreds of trillions that had to be out there.
