I don't think we have places that are a source of magic, exactly, although crops grown in a magically-rich method over a period of years will eventually gain unique magical properties of their own, and can eventually become self-sustaining for those effects.

For us, we're made up of a very small amount of physical matter that our magical energy uses to form a body that can interact with the rest of the physical world- it's why we don't leave bodies behind when we die.
