No, I think the Storyteller is... trying to do the right thing, as best they can. Whatever or whomever brought us here is, I suspect, less benign.

[She's regrettably aware that their best isn't always anything like enough, but she respects the effort. The Batter revealing that he could revive the dead surprises her, but she doesn't show it outwardly- now probably isn't the time to ask about it, not when she's barely spoken to him twice.]

Preventing you from reviving people... and yet they choose to place us all in close proximity to the Storyteller, who can. They limited healing, but didn't suppress it entirely.

[She speaks slowly, thoughtfully- idly speaking her train of thought aloud, more than anything else, as she tries to puzzle it all out.]

So... not someone who wants us dead outright, I think, but not someone who particularly cares if we're harmed, either.
