No, I think the Storyteller is... trying to do the right thing, as best they can. Whatever or whomever brought us here is, I suspect, less benign.

Preventing you from reviving people... and yet they choose to place us all in close proximity to the Storyteller, who can. They limited healing, but didn't suppress it entirely.
