C4 | And I'm of good cheer

I don't want to fight you. [The child speaks very clearly at the large snake that's reared it's head out of the ground- one of the greatest gifts experience could give, they feel, is the art of dodging. Move, when you feel something is wrong. And something was wrong.

Yet, Chara doesn't seem inclined to run. Their expression is one of thoughtful concern, rather than aggression- their smile isn't there at all, but somehow, the more neutral cast to their face appears far more honest.

The Sand Hydra, by contrast, doesn't appear to be much for talking. It hisses as it dives for them, lightning fast. And again Chara doesn't wait, throwing themself to the side and tucking into a roll as the creature slams into the loose soil, submerging itself in short order.

Nobody is happy with this.

Still, there has to be a resolution. Some manner in which the FIGHT can be ended without bloodshed- without taking yet another life. If there is, Chara will find it. They just have to be patient.

Alternatively, they could also be dragged off before they get killed. That works too.]

C3 | The gifts you're receiving from me will be

C3, in contrast to what can be found to the south, seems... relatively safer. Chara spends a short amount of time exploring along the shoreline, before deciding that this is about as good as it gets. Setting their pack down, they pull out some items that probably seem a little... useless, for an exploration endeavor. A trowel and hand rake accompany a very dirty sweater- dirty as in, filled with dirt.

Inside said dirt is a bunch of very carefully carried flowers- a little tossed about in their most recent fight, but... they should be okay. The root systems look fine, and there's plenty of seeds besides- enough, hopefully, to allow a small patch of golden flowers to take root in Monsun's less than accommodating soil, even if they cast a few longing glances across the river towards the clearly more fertile land.

All in all? Chara looks happy.
