If she dies before they reach her...well. That's her problem, isn't it? But they weave their way towards her nonetheless, waylaid momentarily by a primate intent on spearing them through the head.
They miss her change entirely, calmly disposing of their foe when it appears- distracted, by something. By the time they reach her, the only apparent issue is...her feet.
Could the Storyteller not have at least supplied her with some shoes?]
