When Tataru and Osomatsu awaken, they will find themselves on a stretch of fairly nondescript beach in the region of E4. Something long and thin and furred can be seen creeping along their peripheral vision, seeking to encircle them both so that they may be devoured between snapping, canid jaws. We hope they like dogs, because they're stuck with a pack of centipuppies.

All but what Osomatsu carries on his person is missing - presumably, left behind in the house where he last fell asleep. Tataru, however, will find that her knapsack contains a coconut, a hatchet, some flint and tinder and toothbrush.
